About the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL)
The IATL was founded in 1954 and has since earned a reputation as one of the most respected trial lawyer organizations globally. Attorneys can join by invitation only. The IATL uses a rigorous vetting process, which relies on peer and judicial review.
The mission of the IATL is to promote and protect the rule of law through a commitment to equal justice and high levels of competence, civility, and integrity from members of the legal profession.
Just 500 active US trial lawyers and more than 150 international members from nearly 40 countries are invited. To achieve this honor, attorneys and judges must uphold legal excellence and professionalism while committing to community service.
